Centerfield Technology [1] is distributing HomeRun 6.1, the latest version of its autonomic software application designed to optimize DB2 for i5/OS. The new version improves prioritization of index recommendations and users' ability to pinpoint jobs for data collection. It also adds the ability for users to implement advice from the AutoDBA feature outside of HomeRun via a GUI to give enterprises complete control over when and how changes occur to optimize DB2. Finally, the upgrade reorganizes the presentation of advice related to the use of clustered indexes.
