Centerfield Technology [1] has unveiled a DB2 Web Query consulting service, designed to help System i enterprises get the most value out of IBM's newest database query tool and streamline its implementation.

The new service offers product installation, configuration, and functional verification services in two four-hour segments split over two days. The service is offered remotely so as to eliminate the need for an onsite consultant in most cases. Specific tasks provided include identification of required software and PTFs, installation of required base i5/OS software and PTFs, and installation of the DB2 Web Query product and other required software.

Following installation, Centerfield will certify installation completion, propose the use of optional fix packs or other products that may improve that installation's reliability, and make other recommendations as required.
