New Generation Software [1](NGS) has inaugurated Decision Assist – Business Performance (DA-BP), a business-analytics application for System i users and independent software vendors who want to modernize and improve their customer, sales, and inventory reporting and analysis resources.

The solution enhances the presentation of DB2 data via NGS's business intelligence tools, as well as MS Office software and Adobe Flash. It incorporates a web portal, multidimensional models, and Excel spreadsheets, and extracts data from a predefined data mart.

The solution includes built-in performance dashboards for customer sales history, sales rep performance, inventory by division and warehouse, and monthly sales by company and item. It also offers more than 60 prefabricated management reports that can output to Excel spreadsheets, PDF and HTML files, and NGS's NGS-IQ OLAP module. In addition, NGS provides a version of the product that's fully integrated with Vormittag Associates' [2]S2K enterprise management software.
