Postini [1] rolls out Perimeter Manager Enterprise Edition Version 6, an upgrade of its managed security service environment for enterprise e-mail systems. The platform-independent service provides a managed environment that automates e-mail message security, antivirus efforts, and policy application for its customers. Enhancements in version 6 include a second antivirus engine for filtering e-mail messages; an actionable quarantine summary report that helps users better manage quarantined messages and passwords; and SmartCreate, an automated user-account creation that provides an alternative to directory synchronization.
